The GCAA Regulations and Investigation Section fundamental purpose is to improve aviation safety by determining the causes of air accidents and serious incidents and making safety recommendations intended to prevent recurrence in the future.
In addition to air accidents and serious incidents investigation the section carries out investigation on violation to the UAE Civil Aviation Law and Regulations that have been committed by operator and organization this is to ensure that the law, rules and regulations set forward are not breached.
The section also takes on board its responsibilities the tasks of establishing, generating, amending, and maintaining the GCAA publications of civil aviation rules and regulation. Making sure that they comply with the UAE Civil Aviation Law and the international requirements specified in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annexes.
